Born Celine Joelle Tran to a Vietnamese father and a French mother in Paris, Katsumi splits her time between France and California, where she is juggling a career in both producing and directing, as well as the obvious acting.

It was in 2003 at 24 years of age that she officially performed her first scene. Working only in Europe was proving to be quite slow moving. She had performed in only about 20 scenes when her exclusive contract ended, and she began to consider a move to Los Angeles.

Katsumi was interested in doing different work than she had previously been performing, and she was looking to do more of it. Having recognized that America is the biggest market for adult pornography, she was captivated by the seemingly more professional and promotional side of American pornography.

Immediately, Katsumi’s career began to take off. After only two months of working in the United States, she received two awards in Las Vegas for Best Anal Scene, and Best Foreign Couple Scene in 2004. To date, she has received over 20 different awards, and shows no signs of stopping.
